ANIMA THREE 1999 - 2004
The third series of my work – Anima Three – highlights my interest in the cultural and spiritual traditions of my European ancestors. These traditions are thousands of years old and link us to the rituals, cultural practices and beliefs of our ancient forebears.
Many of my images are loaded with symbols drawn from the past.
Symbolism aside – my work would not exist if not for the trust and understanding extended to me by others. The emotional candour in many of my photos is a result of the commitment and passion of those with whom I collaborate.
Their willingness in allowing me to speak through them has provided a rare opportunity to express aspects of myself that would otherwise remain hidden.
Providing the anima part of my psyche a female face would be impossible without their assistance.
My eternal thanks goes to – Mia, Angie, Micah, Melissa, Katrina, Leigh, Liz, Grace, Astrid and Taya.
Thank you for taking the time to visit my site and I hope you find somerthing that inspires you.
