LARARIUM

The Lararium (pl. lararia) is a home-based shrine or altar where offerings and prayers are made to the God or Goddess of your choice. Throughout history, a home shrine has provided the main focus of spiritual activity and religious worship. During Roman times, the lararium was a small space within the home that was used for spiritual worship. This space contained a small set of figurines (representing the deity) candles, lamps, incense burners, an offering dish and any other items deemed necessary for the worshipper.
