KABBALAH
The Kabbalah is a Jewish form of mysticism (theosophy) in which esoteric truths concerning the scriptures are passed down according to oral and written traditions. The earliest text of the Kabbalah is the Sefer ha-bahr (Book of Brightness) which appeared during the 12th century. Kabbalistic teachings have formed a lasting influence on main stream Judaism and have also inspired many esoteric thinkers and writers.
