ANIMA FOUR

Anima Four is the current, on-going addition of the Anima Series. The Anima series is the title I give to my collective work as an artist and writer (for more information about the Anima Series go to - WORD / ART / WHAT IS ANIMA).

Over the past twenty-five years the Anima Series has grown to include various parts – one of which is a collection of photographic images. This collection is inspired by the experience of my own anima (the feminie part of the male psyche) as well as the spiritual traditions of my European ancestors.

These traditions include myths, symbols, ideas and rituals that are thousands of years old and which have influenced Western culture and identity. They also include a tradition of goddess worship that extends back into Neolithic times.

Using the latest digital technology, I have expressed these symbols and spiritual traditions as photographic images ( see WORD / ART / SYMBOLS OF THE ANIMA SERIES).

The images I create have a particular meaning or symbolism that is mirrored in the titles I give to each piece. Please take the time to look through the image galleries and to visit the WORD section of my site where you can read about various subjects related to my work.
